Set among the scents and greenery, the Asian Art Museum is built on the lake in a park, giving the illusion of floating on water. The project was commissioned to the famous Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, and the building was intended to be a museum, a place of meetings and exchanges between Asian arts and Western culture.
Considered to be one of the most important discoveries of the last 25 years, the Yang Ling Mausoleum is the joint tomb of the Western Han Dynasty Emperor Jing Di (fourth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty) and his Empress, Wang.
